Brian Baek, and I do all things tech 💻
My name is Brian, and I am a recent CS graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) who also minored in philosophy!
I'm just a regular guy who fell headfirst into the world of tech starting at the end of high school. During university, I had the great privilege to study a bunch of courses where I could look at a beautiful website and go "hmm 🤔 I know which steps I need to take to get there", or where I could hear a client's needs in regards to how to design an application system from a technical point-of-view and work with them to fulfill their needs.
Fast forward to graduation day, from the many dozens of courses, the countless of meetings with co-workers, and the late-night study sessions with dear friends and colleagues, I believe that I am well-posed to take on whatever business challenges that companies may face.
To get a broader understanding of tech-adjacent fields, I have completed the Microsoft PL-300: Data Analyst certification, which allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how we can pipeline raw data into beautiful and informative visualizations that helps managers, administrators, HR, etc. to have a clearer understanding of what is going on. I have also recently completed the Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals certification, which gave me a foundation on cloud computing and how businesses (big and small alike) can utilize this amazing technology. I hope you can take this journey with me!
This is a picture of our computer science group in university. We were all part of the same student club and found out that we all happened to be in the same program as well. We have gone through a lot together but it made us all stronger at the end
This is a picture of me logging on to my work laptop at my very first co-op, and they spelled my name wrong 😅. It was an easy fix, but I just thought it was very funny *happens a lot more than you might think haha
This is a picture of our dog named Toby. We first got him the year I was entering my first year in university. He is a mini-poodle and grew up with us during very formative years
